Santa Rosa de Copán: First Impression

After four century-long flights (Haikou – Guangzhou – Los Angeles – San Salvador – San Pedro Sula) and a three-hour-long car ride, I finally arrived yesterday at Santa Rosa de Copán, a city in the west of Honduras.

Waking up at 5am in the morning today because of jet lag, I couldn’t wait exploring the city on foot with my own eyes; I went out of the hotel as soon as the sun rose.

Walking on pebble roads near city center, I was greeted by refreshing air, chirping birds, colorful houses and kind locals saying “buenos días” or “buen día” to me with big smiles.

The tranquility of the small town in an early weekend morning was really impressive…
